4th of July Cookie Cake



Needing a quick and easy dessert for 4th of July?   This cookie cake can be made quickly to please all of your guests, or take to a gathering.  Everyone will devour it and ask for more.  It even holds up well in the heat!

Ingredients:
1 box of yellow or white cake mix
2 eggs
1 stick melted butter
red and blue sprinkles
 
Directions:

1.  Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.  
2.  Spread into 9X13 pan (sprayed with cooking spray).  
3.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  
4.  When cooled, cut into squares.

  1. Hey Nichi, love your blog!! I am going to make this today or tomorrow (and wonder why it's called cookie cake, I'm a novice so maybe it's obvious??). Anyway, I am going to decorate mine with red white and blue M&Ms in the shape of the flag!! And then take it to our firemen for a little treat (I do that often and they love all the 'junk' I make and even if stuff is past season - like Christmas M&Ms in February -- they love it all!!) Thanks again!!

    1. Donna, Hope they enjoyed the treat. It is a cookie cake because it uses a cake mix in a cake pan but has the consistency of a cookie. Love this simple recipe! Enjoy! And thanks so much for stopping by.
